There is no upper age limit on joining Medicash Reward provided that the individual is still actively employed within your organisation. Employees partners can also be added to the plan for an additional premium.

What happens when an employee retires or leaves the company?

Simply let the Medicash team know that an employee is leaving and we will contact them and offer them the most appropriate alternative scheme from our portfolio of products.

Are all benefits paid at the full value of the receipt?

Unlike some of our competitors, Medicash Reward pays all claims at 100% of the receipt value up to the annual limits as set out in the plan.

For example, an optical claim for a sight test and new glasses totalling £120 would pay £75 back to the member on level 1 and £110 on level 2 (maximum annual claims limits) and £120 on level 3 (leaving £30 of benefit still available for the remainder of that benefit year).

Can I cover all or just some of my employees?

It's entirely up to you. You can cover as many or as few employees as you like at whatever level you choose, provided that you cover a minimum of 10 employees under the scheme.

Costs per employee per week are shown on the Reward benefit table. Prices for companies with between 10-24 employees are available upon request.

Does this cover me for counselling and VDU assessments for my Duty of Care obligations?

Yes. The optical benefit covers you in relation to your VDU obligations under the Duty of Care, while the telephone helplines and face-to-face counselling covers your obligations regarding stress.

Will I get annual reports of the claims history of my organisation?

Yes. On request we are able to provide annual reports showing your claims experience compared to that of Medicash as a whole. However, for data protection reasons figures cannot be supplied on an individual basis.

How much administration is involved for us?

After you have signed the agreement, all you will need to do is supply an electronic list of all employees to be covered. We'll supply you with a template and have found that this is a report that can easily be run by most companies HR or Payroll system. After that, all you will need to do is inform us of any new starters and leavers and we'll do the rest.

Can I tie this in with pay reviews?
