ACC Liverpool headlines healthy staff

Liverpool based Medicash, one of the UK's leading healthcare cash plan providers, has won a contract with ACC Liverpool.

ACC Liverpool is the home of the Echo Arena and BT Convention Centre. The deal with Medicash will provide their 100 strong workforce with a corporate health plan. Staff will be able to access a wide range of benefits including dental and optical care, worksite health screening, physiotherapy and alternative therapies such as reflexology.

Gerald Andrews, finance director at ACC Liverpool said: "We have a longstanding relationship with Medicash and we are delighted to be working with them to provide a comprehensive healthcare package to our workforce. We spoke to a number of providers and Medicash were able to offer us the most attractive and cost effective solution. It is important for us to invest in our staff and the Medicash cash plans have been really well received by everyone."

The venue has played host to a number of massive music acts such Elton John and Beyonce as well as national conferences for organisations such as the Liberal Democrats and The NHS Confederation.

He added: "The demands on our staff to remain customer focused in such a high pressured environment are very high. Providing them with support, such as the Medicash plan, is our way of recognising the high levels of commitment they bring to making sure the customer experience at ACC Liverpool is unparalleled."

ACC Liverpool has also been awarded Healthy Stadia status in recognition of their promotion of healthy living amongst both staff and visitors to the venue.
