Medicash dance the night away for charity

Healthcare cash plan provider Medicash recently took to the dance floor for their charity salsa night in aid of The Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation.

Medicash is one of 22 organisations who took part in the charity's £50 Challenge initiative. Sponsored by Medicash, donations of £50 were given to each organisation taking part who were set the challenge of generating as much money as possible from it.

The Medicash salsa night took place on 4 June at city centre Cuban bar and restaurant La Cubanita. Andy Abernethy, marketing manager for Medicash said, "The event was a great success and we are delighted to support the £50 Challenge and raise much needed funds for the charity."

Helen Raghu from The Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation said, "Medicash's salsa night was a perfect example of how fundraising can be fun and teach you a thing or two! We are very grateful to Medicash for sponsoring the £50 Challenge which has proven to be a huge success with all the businesses taking part and which we hope will raise thousands of pounds for us."

The Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation works to defeat lung cancer in the UK, and the £50 Challenge sponsored by Medicash will help fund the charity's research into the illness, educational campaigns and the support service the charity offers those affected by lung cancer.
