Medicash launches new product for corporate market

Liverpool healthcare cash plan provider Medicash has launched a new product which is set to boost its market share in the corporate sector.

Chief executive of Medicash Sue Weir said: "The launch of the new Medicash Reward is a landmark in terms of product innovation for us. We constantly have to evolve our products to reflect a fast-moving marketplace and have been consulting with employers across the region to develop this plan."

Alongside major increases in cash back limits employees can now use their cash plan to recover voluntary excess costs on their PMI coverage which in turn could allow them to dramatically reduce their annual PMI premiums. They can also claim back specialist consultation costs and the unique Best Doctors service means members can also access expert second opinion through a dedicated helpline providing advice from a panel of over 50,000 world leading physicians.

Worksite health screening is another feature of the plan and gives employers an overview of the health of their workforce allowing them to take action before issues impact on productivity.

Dave Lathom, business development director of Liverpool based Staffords, specialists in office equipment repair and maintenance said: "We find corporate health screening reassures staff and gives them useful information about maintaining good health, fitness and wellbeing. For one of our employees health screening even proved life-saving when it highlighted dangerously high blood pressure levels that his doctor had failed to spot."
