Meet our Board of Directors

Jonathan joined the Board in December 2020 as a Non-Executive Director and became Chair in February 2021. He is also Chair of the Board Nominations Committee and a member of the Board Remuneration Committee.

Outside of Medicash, Jonathan is Chair of international law firm Hill Dickinson LLP and has practiced as a corporate lawyer since 1990, primarily in the field of mergers and acquisitions.  He has extensive experience in advising a wide range of companies and has vast Board experience.

Away from work, Jonathan enjoys all sports and remains an active cricketer.

Jean joined the Board in December 2020 and is currently Chair of the Board Audit Committee and Board Remuneration Committee as well as a member of the Board Risk Committee and Board Nominations Committee.

Jean is a corporate and audit partner at an independent accountancy and advisory firm. She also plays an active role in regional governance and community development and serves as a trustee for two local charities.

In her spare time, Jean enjoys travelling, walking, cycling and watching sports.

Charles joined the Board in April 2023. He is currently Chair of the Board Risk Committee and Board Investment Committee as well as a member of the Board Audit Committee.

Charles is an actuary, investment and risk management professional with over 20 years’ experience within hedge funds, asset management, derivatives and early-stage investments.

Since relocating back to the UK in 2012, Charles has played an active role in the Liverpool City Region business community, volunteering on several boards, mentoring financial mathematics students and supporting entrepreneurs.

Beyond his professional commitments, Charles enjoys hiking, travelling and golf.

Lorraine joined the Board in July 2025 as a Non-Executive Director and is a member of the Board Investment Committee.

Lorraine is a portfolio Board Chair, NED, Board Advisor and Consultant, with key skills in corporate governance, strategy definition, change management, operational excellence and stakeholder engagement.

In her spare time, Lorraine enjoys travelling, live sport and eating out with family and friends.

Andrew joined Medicash in March 2025 as Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director. He brings more than 30 years’ experience in regulated financial services in the UK and internationally, including extensive experience at CEO and Board level.

Andrew attends all of the Board’s principal committees and is a member of the Board Nominations Committee. He chairs the Medicash Foundation Committee, reflecting his long-standing passion for charitable work.

In 2023, Andrew was awarded an MBE for services to the local community. Outside of work, he enjoys a wide range of sports, listening to music and spending time with his family.

Paul joined Medicash in 2005 and became an Executive Board Director in March 2017. He is the company’s Chief Commercial Officer with responsibility for leadership across all aspects of commercial strategy – from sales and marketing to business development and partnerships. He also oversees our commercial subsidiary, Health@Work.

In his spare time, Paul is a keen traveller and places a strong emphasis on maintaining an active, healthy lifestyle.

Andy joined Medicash in 2011 and became an Executive Board Director in March 2017. He is the company’s Chief Operating Officer with responsibility for providing strategic leadership across both Finance and Customer Operations.

Andy attends the Board Risk, Board Audit and Board Investment committees.

Away from work, Andy enjoys coaching his son’s football team and spending time with his family.

Alex joined Medicash in July 2025 as Chief Risk Officer, bringing extensive experience in governance, risk and compliance gained in both the nuclear and financial services industries.

Alex leads the Risk and Compliance function and acts as Company Secretary.

Outside of work, Alex is a keen tennis player and enjoys watching sport and travelling.
