Find out more about the UK's oldest and one the largest health cash plan providers, our history and ethos.
At Medicash, we believe in charity and one of our proudest traditions is our commitment to charitable giving. Over the last five years, we’ve donated £2.25 million across health and wellbeing related charities.
We’re also one of Cool Earth’s pioneering partners, supporting six indigenous communities of the Peruvian Amazon. Between them, these communities are the custodians of over 76,000 hectares of rainforest, 29,589,492 trees and over 12,300,000 million tonnes of carbon stores.
The Medicash Foundation has announced a £4,000 donation to Cyclists Fighting Cancer (CFC), a UK-based charity dedicated to aiding children and young people undergoing cancer treatment and rehabilitation. This significant contribution underscores the Foundation’s commitment to supporting health and wellbeing initiatives across the North West.
To mark a historic 500,000 policyholder milestone, Medicash is embarking on a massive £2.1 million project to support NHS hospitals and facilities across the North West over the course of the next four years. The first hospital to receive funding as part of Medicash’s latest charity undertaking is the newly established Clatterbridge Cancer Centre.
The Medicash Foundation has funded a lifesaving defibrillator and monitor for the North West Air Ambulance (NWAA) Charity that can quickly ascertain the condition of a patient’s heart, blood pressure, oxygen saturation, ventilation and body temperature, as well as perform emergency defibrillation for patients in cardiac arrest.
The Countess Charity has teamed up with the British Ironwork Centre to create a large structure, sponsored by Medicash, which will be built in the shape of a rainbow to commemorate and remember 2020 and all those who played a part in taking care of others.
The Medicash Foundation teamed up with local business Inovus Medical to produce the much-needed visors, with the first visors being delivered to the North West Ambulance Service (NWAS). It is also sourcing additional supplies of face masks and hand sanitisers for local key workers in care homes.
The Medicash Foundation has donated to The Big Tiny Steps Appeal, an appeal by the Liverpool Women’s Hospital to raise funds to develop the neonatal end of life suite. Watch the video to find out more about the project.
CardiACT is a campaign managed by Medicash, working with the Liverpool BID Company and North West Ambulance Service which is committed to installing defibrillators in key locations across Liverpool. In this project, a telephone box in Liverpool city centre has been converted into a life-saving defibrillator.
