Medicash has promoted its Head of Finance to the board as its new Finance Director.
Andy Roberts (31) began his career with global accounting firm PwC before joining Medicash in 2011. He was subsequently promoted to head of finance in 2015.
In the company’s annual accounts published last year, Medicash reported record results with premium income hitting £23m – up 5.5% from £21.8m in 2014.
Sales of company-paid plans rose to 41,469, up from 38,477 in 2014 driven by a strong intermediary led market, whilst the total number of Medicash policyholders grew by 11% to 188,314 – up from 169,918 the previous year.
Chief executive Sue Weir said: “Andy has consistently played a key role in our progress working on a variety of important strategic projects. We are delighted to welcome him to the Board and are confident he will continue to make an important impact on our future development.”
