Children covered FREE up to their 19th Birthday

Up to four dependent children can be covered at no extra cost, up to their 19th birthday if in full time education. Each child can claim half of the adult entitlement for Routine Dental, Optical, Consultations and Diagnostic Tests, Hospital Benefits, as well as Complementary and Alternative Therapies. Children also have Personal Accident Cover. Each child has their own individual allowance and their claims do not affect any other individuals covered on the policy.

The table above shows the annual benefit entitlements for each adult. The more you pay into the plan per month, the more you will be able claim back against each of the different treatments.

A 12 month qualifying period applies to the Birth/Adoption of a Child benefit and pre-existing conditions for Hospital Benefits are not covered for three years from the start of your policy. These qualifying periods also apply to upgrades, during which time your claim will be paid at the lower rate where applicable. Costs incurred for a dental treatment plan which had been started in the two months before the start of your policy (excluding routine check-ups) are not covered. Also, costs for optical items ordered in the two months before the start of your policy will not be covered.
